Using the Winch Box

Mobile use:

Using the included straps and shackles, the Winch Box can be easily used on the move. To do this, wrap the rear strap around a tree or attach it to a suitable anchor point. Then, attach the two loops to the rear shackles of the portable base plate. Always make sure that the straps do not come into contact with sharp edges or hot surfaces.

Fixed mounting - mounting with four screws:

The winch box can be securely mounted to a surface using the four outer screw holes on the mounting plate. To withstand the tensile forces, the mounting plate should have a minimum thickness of 6 mm (1/4 inch). Make sure the structure you're attaching it to is strong enough to withstand these forces. When mounting with four screws, the winch cable can be reattached to the front shackle for double-up.

Fixed mounting - mounting with two screws:

For this configuration, set the winch to free spool and unwind enough rope from the drum to place the steel reinforcement plate underneath it, if it wasn't already installed during installation. To ensure the structure can withstand the tensile forces, the mounting plate should be at least 6 mm (1/4 inch) thick. Ensure the mounting structure can withstand these loads. Once installation and wiring are complete, the rope can be rewound onto the drum using the motor controller.
